A doped two-dimensional material on a substrate wherein at least a portion of the two-dimensional material is coated with an air- and/or moisture-barrier coating comprising an inorganic oxide, fluoride or sulfide and a doping agent; and wherein the two-dimensional material has a charge carrier density of less than 5×1012 cm−2.
