1. A controller for an automated machine, the controller comprising:
a processor configured to
obtain a message from a second automated machine in accordance with a communication protocol, the message comprising a second result of a second sensing process performed by the second automated machine of an operational condition of the automated machine or of an environmental condition of the automated machine;
determine an assessment of the automated machine based on the second result and based on a first result of a first sensing process performed by the automated machine of the operational condition or of the environmental condition, wherein the assessment represents a reliability of the first sensing process; and
estimate a time of failure of a sensor of the automated machine based on the assessment, wherein the sensor is configured to perform the first sensing process.
