1. A method comprising:
receiving, at a first device, first input data indicating a request to transition the first device from a first audio playback configuration to a second audio playback configuration, the first audio playback configuration associated with receiving a voice command at the first device and outputting an audible response to the voice command at the first device, the second audio playback configuration associated with enabling a second device to receive the voice command and output the audible response instead of the first device;
causing, based at least in part on the first input data, the first device to transition from the first audio playback configuration to the second audio playback configuration;
receiving, at the first device and while the first device is operating in the second audio playback configuration, first audio data representing the voice command from the second device; and
sending, based at least in part on the first device operating in the second audio playback configuration:
second audio data representing the audible response to the second device; and
a command configured to cause the second device to output audio corresponding to the audible response.
