1. A method of generating information to control display of images, the method comprising:
providing a display device with align pattern data to which box data having a maximum reference gray level is added;
obtaining a first capture image of the display device generated based on the align pattern data to which the box data is added;
providing the display device with one or more full pattern data respectively having one or more reference gray levels lower than the maximum reference gray level;
obtaining one or more second capture images of the display device generated based on the one or more full pattern data; and
generating compensation data including a plurality of compensation values at the one or more reference gray levels and the maximum reference gray level, the compensation data generated based on the one or more second capture images and a portion of the first capture image corresponding to the box data, wherein the display device is a self-luminous display device, wherein generating the compensation data includes determining the plurality of compensation values, for a plurality of pixels of a display panel of the display device at the maximum reference gray level, based on a luminance of the portion of the first capture image corresponding to the box data, wherein a compensation value, of the plurality of compensation values, for a first pixel of the plurality of pixels at the maximum reference gray level is determined based on a difference between a luminance of the first capture image for the first pixel at the maximum reference gray level and a luminance of a target gamma curve at the maximum reference gray level.
