1. A chip recognition system for recognizing chips on a game table which has a plurality of playing positions for players, each playing position including one or more betting areas, the chip recognition system comprising:
a camera positioned above the game table such that a direction of the optical axis of the camera is positioned at an angle to a top surface of the game table, and which is configured to capture an image of the game table including one or more of the betting areas and chips wagered on the one or more betting areas; and
an image recognition device configured to:
recognize, based on the image and using artificial intelligence technology or a neural network, a type and number of chips placed on the game table for each player, each playing position, or at least one betting area of the one or more betting areas; and
transmit information associated with the type and number of chips recognized by the image recognition device to a management device;
wherein the type and number of chips recognized by the image recognition device enables the management device to manage a bet amount for the players.
