1. A system comprising:
a switch;
a switch processing unit;
a main subsystem including at least one operating component, the main subsystem integrated with the switch and switch processing unit into a system on a chip (SoC) device; and
a processor coupled to the switch processing unit, and integrated into the SoC device, the processor configured to:
in response to receiving a reset request from a source, transmit a notification to the switch processing unit;
wherein the switch processing unit is configured to, in response to the notification, isolate the switch electrically from the main subsystem and then generate a reset isolation complete signal; and
and wherein the processor is configured to, in response to receiving the reset isolation complete signal from the switch processing unit, transmit an acknowledgement to the source.
