1. An information processing apparatus comprising:
a processor; and
a controller that outputs, to the processor, notification information according to input information, wherein
the processor:
executes system processing based on an operating system (OS), and
executes control related to performance of the system processing in a first active mode characterized by a first operating frequency of the processor by control of a Basic Input Output System (BIOS) using the notification information output from the controller, wherein
the controller:
accepts, as the input information, an operation signal indicative of an operated key according to a user's operation on a keyboard,
determines whether the operated key is of a specific combination of keys based on the accepted operation signal, and
upon making a determination that the operated key is of the specific combination of keys, outputs, to the processor, a result of the determination as the notification information, and
without another key being pressed after the result of the determination is output from the controller, the processor executes the control related to the performance of the system processing in a second active mode characterized by a second operating frequency of the processor based on the result of the determination, wherein the first operating frequency is different from the second operating frequency.
