1. A free lock detection system for a micromobility transit vehicle, comprising:
a non-transitory memory storing data; and
one or more hardware processors configured to execute instructions that cause the system to perform operations comprising:
receiving sensor data from a sensor of the micromobility transit vehicle;
comparing the sensor data to the data stored in the non-transitory memory;
determining, based on the comparing, an indication of the micromobility transit vehicle being locked to itself; and
generating a notification of the indication.
