1. A clamp apparatus, comprising: a lever comprising a handle and a round body with an outer surface which is in contact with a slidable lever rack; first and second jaw racks attached to first and second jaw plates, respectively; and a scroll gear that contacts the slidable lever rack and the first and second jaw racks, wherein, when the handle of the lever is swung, the outer surface of the round body of the lever contacts the slidable lever rack that moves the scroll gear which drives the first and second jaw racks to slide in opposite directions causing the first and second jaw plates to move toward and/or away from each other.
