1. A tissue marking device, comprising:
a hook assembly, comprising:
a hook body having a proximal end and a distal end, the hook body comprising at least two distal hooks at the distal end and a retention mechanism comprising at least two proximal hooks at the proximal end; and
a flexible thread bonded to the proximal end of the hook body, the thread comprising at least one radiopaque marker raised from the thread; and
a handle assembly operable for positioning the hook assembly in a targeted tissue, the handle assembly comprising:
a handle body having a proximal end and a distal end;
a needle having a lumen with an open first end and a second end; and
a stylet having a lumen with an open first end and a second end,
wherein the hook body has a compressed configuration and a deployed configuration,
wherein each of the at least two distal hooks and each of the at least two proximal hooks of the retention mechanism form an H configuration when the hook body is in the deployed configuration,
wherein the thread is within the lumen of the stylet when the hook body is in the compressed configuration,
wherein the hook body and the stylet are aligned with a central axis of the needle and within the lumen of the needle when the hook body is in the compressed configuration, and
wherein the hook body and the stylet are aligned with the central axis of the needle when the hook body is in the deployed configuration.
