1. A device comprising:
a processor;
an image data store, coupled to the processor;
wherein the image data store non-transiently stores computer instructions, which upon execution by the processor, instantiate a re-imager engine; and
a communication interface coupled to at least the processor;
wherein when instantiating the re-imager engine, the device performs operations comprising:
locating an Image Data Volume (IDV); wherein the IDV includes a first Image Data Segment (IDS), and respective second (2nd) through Nth (2nd-Nth) IDSs;
retrieving the first IDS;
generating a first signature for the first IDS;
encrypting the first signature and the first IDS;
generating a second signature for the, as encrypted, first IDS;
generating a first header for the, as encrypted, first IDS;
compressing the first header and the, as encrypted, first IDS;
packetizing the as compressed first header and encrypted first IDS into a first IDS packet;
and
upon receiving a request from a second device, communicating the first IDS packet to the second device.
