1. A wirelessly rechargeable hearing device comprising:
a shell having one or more hearing device sidewalls and a faceplate surface;
a rechargeable battery;
one or more hearing device components; and
charging circuitry comprising a receiver coil having a receiver coil axis;
wherein the one or more of the hearing device sidewalls at least partially forms an in-ear part configured to be placed at least partially inside an ear canal of a user;
wherein the faceplate surface is configured to be oriented towards an outside of an ear of the user, when the in-ear part is positioned at least partially inside the ear canal; and
wherein the receiver coil axis extends through one of the one or more hearing device sidewalls.
