1. An information handling system comprising:
a housing having a main portion rotationally coupled to a lid portion by a hinge;
a processor disposed in the housing and operable to execute instructions that process information;
a memory disposed in the housing and interfaced with the processor, the memory operable to store the instructions and information;
a display coupled to the housing lid portion and interfaced with the processor, the display operable to present the information as visual images;
a keyboard coupled to the housing main portion, the keyboard having plural mechanical keys to accept end user inputs;
a touch function row coupled to the housing main portion between the display and the keyboard to accept touch inputs with capacitive touch detection to command plural functions including at least an escape input and F1 through F12; and
a non-transitory memory interfaced with the processor and storing instructions that when executed cause:
detection of a simultaneous touch by plural end user fingers;
in response to the simultaneous touch, presentation of a predetermined function on-screen-display user interface having a secondary function submenu of a predetermined of the plural functions and adjustment of the secondary function operating conditions;
detect sliding movement of a touch at the touch function row; and
in response to the sliding movement, present at the display the function on-screen-display user interface having plural function input key values, one of the plural functions corresponding to a touch location of the sliding movement presented as highlighted.
