1. An elongated endoscopic instrument, comprising:
a working channel;
a lumen including a first section and a second section, the first section being spiraled at a first pitch around the working channel at a distal end of the first section and at a second pitch around the working channel at a proximal end of the first section, the first pitch being different from the second pitch, the second section extending approximately parallel to a neutral axis of the working channel, and the second section having a length that is greater than the first pitch and the second pitch; and
a pull wire slidingly coupled within the lumen and configured to manipulate the instrument.
