1. A method, comprising:
moving a distal end of a percutaneous medical device in a proximal direction away from an anatomical site of a body of a subject, the medical device being coupled to a first housing, a second housing being coupled to the first housing, and a guidewire being slidable through the medical device; and
simultaneously, maintaining a position of a distal end of the guidewire with respect to the anatomical site by moving the second housing toward the first housing.
