1. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
detecting a beam failure by counting a beam failure instance indication,
wherein, based on a value of a Beam Failure Instance (BFI) counter for the beam failure instance indication being equal to or greater than a beam Failure Instance Max Count, the beam failure is detected and a beam failure recovery (BFR) is triggered;
based on the BFR being triggered, transmitting a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) which is related to a scheduling request (SR) used for requesting Uplink-Shared Channel (UL-SCH) resources; and
based on the UL-SCH resources being available, transmitting a Medium Access Control Control Element (MAC CE) that includes information indicating the beam failure being detected for at least one serving cell,
wherein the value of the BFI counter is determined for each of the at least one serving cell,
wherein the MAC CE is generated based on a multiplexing and assembly procedure related to a MAC Protocol Data Unit (PDU),
wherein the at least one serving cell includes a Secondary Cell (SCell), and
wherein a value of the BFI counter for the SCell is equal to or greater than the beam Failure Instance Max Count after the transmission of the PUCCH.
