1. A display device comprising:
dots, each dot among the dots comprising a first pixel of a first color, a second pixel of a second color, and a third pixel of a third color; and
a grayscale correction unit configured to generate corrected grayscale values for a target dot via application of weights to grayscale values of the target dot and grayscale values of neighboring dots of the target dot among the dots,
wherein:
the grayscale correction unit is configured to determine the weights based on the grayscale values of the target dot;
the grayscale correction unit comprises a weight generation unit configured to:
determine a saturation value via comparison of a first grayscale value for the first pixel, a second grayscale value for the second pixel, and a third grayscale value for the third pixel of the target dot; and
generate the weights based on the saturation value;
in response to the saturation value being a maximum value, at least one of the first grayscale value, the second grayscale value, and the third grayscale value of the target dot is 0;
in response to the saturation value being the maximum value, a weight for the target dot is 1, and weights for the neighboring dots are 0;
in response to the saturation value being a reference value smaller than the maximum value, the first grayscale value, the second grayscale value, and the third grayscale value of the target dot are all greater than 0; and
in response to the saturation value being the reference value, the weights for the target dot and the neighboring dots are both greater than 0 and less than 1.
