a nonvolatile memory; and
a controller electrically connected to the nonvolatile memory, wherein
the controller is configured to:
in response to receiving, from the host, a first namespace create command specifying a clear attribution for a first namespace, create the first namespace having the clear attribution and a first logical address range, the first logical address range including logical addresses; and
according to the specified clear attribution of the first namespace create command, set the logical addresses of the first logical address range of the first namespace to an unallocated state in which a physical address of the nonvolatile memory is not mapped, during a first period from a time when receiving a power loss advance notification from the host or when detecting an unexpected power loss of the memory system until a time when the controller becomes a ready state by resupply of a power to the memory system,
wherein the power loss advance notification is a notification notifying that supply of a power to the memory system will be turned off, the ready state is a state in which a command from the host can be processed by the controller.
