1. A route output apparatus comprising:
a non-transitory memory storing one or more computer programs; and
a processor executing the one or more computer programs to:
search for a route from a designated departure point to an arrival point with use of a graph including a plurality of nodes and at least one link connecting the nodes and representing map information;
select, from a sequence of nodes representing the searched route, a minimum number of nodes that determine the route, each node of the minimum number of nodes being connected to two or more nodes via the links;
create a point on the graph between each pair of consecutive nodes of the selected minimum number of nodes along the searched route;
convert coordinates of each created point into a latitude and a longitude to represent the searched route using only the latitude and the longitude of the respective created point on the graph between each pair of consecutive nodes of the selected minimum number of nodes along the searched route; and
output information representing the searched route using only the latitude and longitude for each created point on the graph.
