1. A method for reducing roaming for multilink devices, the method comprising:
establishing, using multiple radio links in an access point, multiple radio links with a multilink device;
determining that one link of the multiple radio links is a non-viable link, the non-viable link being at an edge of a coverage area of, or losing connectivity to, the access point, the non-viable link carrying traffic of a particular type;
determining whether the traffic of the particular type on the non-viable link is assigned to one other link of the multiple radio links; and
upon determining that the traffic of the particular type on the non-viable link is, at a first time, assigned to one other link of the multiple radio links and the one other link is in the coverage area, disassociating from the access point the non-viable link of the multilink device.
