1. An apparatus comprising:
a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for configuring a service of a network; and
a processor operably coupled to the non-transitory memory configured to execute the instructions of:
receiving, from the network, first information for accessing an exposure function, wherein the first information comprises an internet protocol (IP) address or a uniform resource identifier (URI) associated with the exposure function;
creating, based on the first information, a request that indicates a maximum latency and a suggested number of packets for buffering;
sending the created request to the exposure function; and
receiving a response from the exposure function,
wherein the response indicates whether the request indicating the maximum latency and the suggested number of packets was approved.
