1. A device comprising:
a communication interface; and
at least one processor configured to:
activate a reception rejection function;
receive a call request from an external device through the communication interface during the reception rejection function is activated;
in response to the received call request,
obtain time information based on information provided by an application being executed in the device and generate a response message including the obtained time information,
wherein the obtained time information indicates a time when a user of the device becomes available to respond to the received call request; and
control the communication interface to provide the response message to the external device,
wherein the response message includes a current situation of the user of the device,
wherein the reception rejection function is automatically activated in response to the execution of a particular application.
