1. An electronic device, comprising:
at least one camera module including a camera;
at least one display module including a display;
at least one processor comprising processing circuitry; and
memory electrically connected to the at least one camera module, the at least one display module, and the at least one processor and storing instructions,
wherein the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to:
output a first image for a real object obtained using the at least one camera module;
output a list of at least one virtual object applicable to the first image;
in response to receiving a first input for selecting the at least one virtual object, output a first sub-objects list comprising two or more sub-objects from among a plurality of sub-objects that the selected at least one virtual object comprises, wherein the first sub-object list includes a first sub-object having a first depth and a second sub-object having a second depth with respect to the first sub-object; and
in response to receiving a second input for selecting one sub-object from among the first sub-object and the second sub-object, generate a second image in which the selected one sub-object is applied to the first image based on a depth of the selected one sub-object.
