1. A multifunctional keyboard, comprising:
a platform;
a mode changing device comprising at least one mechanical actuator disposed on the platform, the at least one mechanical actuator configured to move between a first position and a second position, when the at least one mechanical actuator is in the first position the keyboard is in a macro configuration and when the at least one mechanical actuator is in the second position the keyboard is in a text input configuration, wherein the at least one mechanical actuator is a handle;
a first plurality of keys disposed on the platform, each of the first plurality of keys corresponding to a different macro layer when the keyboard is in the macro configuration; and
a second plurality of keys disposed on the platform, each of the second plurality of keys corresponding to a different macro for each macro layer selected by the first plurality of keys when the keyboard is in the macro configuration, each of the second plurality of keys having a different function when the keyboard is in the text input configuration.
