1. An optical interconnect, comprising:
a pair of first microLEDs;
a pair of second microLEDs, the pair of second microLEDs configured to emit light at a different wavelength than the pair of first microLEDs;
a multimode optical waveguide;
a pair of first lenses positioned to couple light from the pair of first microLEDs into a first end of the multimode optical waveguide;
a pair of second lenses positioned to couple light from the pair of second microLEDs into the first end of the multimode optical waveguide;
a dichroic mirror configured to reflect light at the different wavelength emitted by the pair of second microLEDs and pass light at a wavelength emitted by the pair of first microLEDs, the dichroic mirror positioned to receive light from a second end of the multimode optical waveguide;
a pair of first photodetectors positioned to receive light passed by the dichroic mirror; and
a pair of second photodetectors positioned to receive light reflected by the dichroic mirror.
