1. A device, comprising:
a sample container configured to contain a sample;
at least a first sensing train and a second sensing train,
the first sensing train comprising a first emission filter and a first photodetector,
the second sensing train comprising a second emission filter and being configured to communicate light received by the second sensing train to a photodetector associated with the second sensing train,
an energy source configured to emit a peak wavelength of light and configured to excite the sample,
the energy source, the first sensing train, and the second sensing train being arranged such that light emanating in a first direction from the sample when excited by the energy source is communicated to the first sensing train and light emanating in a second direction from the sample when excited by the energy source is communicated to the second sensing train, the first direction and the second direction differing from one another.
