1. A device mount configured to hold a first electronic device on a boat, the device mount comprising:
a base configured to be secured to the boat;
a telescoping post having an inner post segment including a proximal end and an outer post segment including a distal end, wherein the proximal end is secured to the base;
a post lock segment, wherein the post lock segment is configured to secure the outer post segment and the inner post segment; and
a mount segment configured to secure the first electronic device thereto, wherein the mount segment is configured to secure to the outer post segment by means of a clamping force,
wherein an upper cap is disposed at the distal end of the outer post segment, the upper cap configured to prevent the mount segment from extending beyond the distal end of the outer post segment.
