1. A charging control device comprising:
a control unit connected to a first communication channel configured to be connected to an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) outside a vehicle and a second communication channel configured to be connected to the EVSE,
wherein the first communication channel supports a first protocol based on a power line communication (PLC),
wherein the second communication channel supports a second protocol based on a controller area network (CAN), and
wherein the control unit controls charging a battery of the vehicle to receive power from the EVSE based on a signal received through a control pilot (CP) port and a signal received through a proximity detection (PD) port.
