1. A method of imaging a breast of a patient using an imaging system, the method comprising:
applying, with a compression arm of the imaging system, a compressive force to the breast;
positioning a tube head of the imaging system in a start position, wherein the tube head comprises an x-ray source;
sending, from the imaging system, a first guidance signal;
performing an imaging procedure of the breast with the x-ray source of the imaging system, wherein performing the imaging procedure comprises an emitting of x-ray energy; and
subsequent to completion of the emission of x-ray energy, sending a second guidance signal, wherein the first guidance signal is timed to the emitting of the x-ray energy.
