1. A compound comprising a first ligand LA of
Formula I,
![]() wherein:
moiety A is a monocyclic or polycyclic ring structure comprising 5-membered and/or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic rings;
RA represents mono to the maximum allowable substitution, or no substitution;
R1 and each RA is independently a hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, boryl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, germyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carboxylic acid, ether, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, selenyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof;
LA is coordinated to a metal M;
metal M is selected from the group consisting of Os, Ir Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag, and Au;
if metal M coordinates to another ligand, said ligand is a bidentate ligand;
LA may be joined with other ligands to comprise a tetradentate, or hexadentate ligand; and
any two RA can be joined or fused together to form a ring.
