1. An aerosol forming article comprising:
a housing;
a reservoir within the housing configured to store a liquid aerosol precursor composition; and
an atomizer unit that is receivable in the housing, the atomizer unit comprising:
an atomizing chamber defined by at least one atomizing chamber wall;
a heater positioned in the atomizing chamber;
a silicon-based component arranged to overlie the heater and be in direct contact therewith;
at least one opening formed in a component of the atomizer unit and configured for passage therethrough of vapor formed by vaporization of the liquid aerosol precursor composition, wherein the component in which the at least one opening is formed is an atomizing chamber cover; and
a plurality of electrical terminals extending through the at least one atomizing chamber wall from within the atomizing chamber.
