1. A method performed at a network exposure node for managing Packet Flow Description (PFD), the method comprising:
receiving one or more PFD rules for an application from a content providing node through a northbound API for PFD management of the network exposure node;
associating a baseline with the one or more PFD rules for the application;
receiving from a network node a demand message indicating a request for at least one PFD rule for an application, the demand message including a baseline;
detecting at least one updated PFD rule based on the baseline associated with the one or more PFD rules received from the content providing node and the baseline received in the demand message from the network node; and
notifying the at least one updated PFD rule to the network node;
wherein the notifying the at least one updated PFD rule to the network node further comprises:
notifying the one or more updated PFD rules and the latest baseline; or
transmitting the one or more updated PFD rules along with the latest baseline;
wherein the baselines are a version reference or a time stamp.
