1. A method of video decoding, comprising:
receiving, from a bitstream, video data corresponding to a coding unit, wherein the coding unit is coded by intra-prediction mode;
receiving a first syntax element from the bitstream, wherein the first syntax element indicates whether the coding unit has been coded using adaptive color-space transform (ACT);
in accordance with a determination that the first syntax element has a zero value, wherein the first syntax element having the zero value indicates that the coding unit has not been coded using the ACT:
receiving one or more syntax elements from the bitstream, wherein the one or more syntax elements indicate whether chroma components of the coding unit have been coded using block differential pulse coded modulation (BDPCM);
in accordance with a determination that the first syntax element has a non-zero value, wherein the first syntax element having the non-zero value indicates that the coding unit has been coded using the ACT:
assigning default values to the one or more syntax elements associated with the BDPCM; and
decoding the chroma components of the coding unit from the video data in accordance with the first syntax element associated with the ACT and the one or more syntax elements associated with the BDPCM.
