1. An information processing apparatus, comprising:
a memory configured to store a program; and
a processor configured to execute the program so as to:
generate a projection image based on predetermined pattern information and output the generated projection image to a projection apparatus, the projection image including a clock pattern and a data pattern based on the pattern information;
decode the data pattern into a value based on a captured image taken of an object by an imaging apparatus, the captured image being an image taken of the object in a state where the projection image is projected by the projection apparatus; and
specify phase of each part of the object based on the value and the pattern information,
wherein the data pattern is a De Bruijn torus sequence.
