1. A sensor system, the sensor system comprising:
a sensor array for generating an analog signal, the sensor array including a plurality of sensors;
an amplifier coupled to the sensor array, the amplifier being configured to amplify the analog signal received from the sensor array;
a buffer in communication with the amplifier, the buffer including a non-volatile memory array, the buffer being configured to receive the amplified analog signal from the amplifier and cache the amplified analog signal in the non-volatile memory array;
an analog-to-digital converter coupled to the amplifier and the buffer, and
a signal selector configured to control delivery of the amplified analog signal from the amplifier;
wherein, in a normal execution mode, the signal selector is configured to transmit the amplified analog signal from the amplifier to the analog-to-digital converter; in a mode of storing the analog signal in a power semi-gating mode, the signal selector is configured to transmit the amplified analog signal from the amplifier to the buffer for processing and storage; in a mode of recovering the analog signal in the power semi-gating mode, the signal selector is configured to process the analog signal from the buffer and transmit the processed analog signal to the analog-to-digital converter.
