determining, from a stored history of past accesses granted by the managing contact to one or more quest contacts that have since been revoked, the guest contact identified by the request was granted a past access to the account by the managing contact;
providing, via a user interface of the first application, one or more previous permissions for a previous account session associated with the past access to the account as one or more default permissions for selection or modification by the managing contact;
receiving, from the first application, as one or more permissions associated with the access to the account by the quest contact, one or more selected default permissions or one or more modified default permissions:
generating an account session for the guest contact based on the contact information and the one or more permissions;
generating a first electronic communication that includes a link to a second application to provide the guest contact access to the account session;
transmitting the first electronic communication to a second device of the guest contact;
causing the second application to open on the second device upon a selection of the link, a user interface of the second application including a prompt for identity verification;
upon identity verification, activating the account session to provide the guest contact access to the account through the second application, wherein the second application providing the quest contact access to the account includes only a subset of features and functionalities of the first application via which the managing contact accesses the account, the subset defined based on the one or more permissions to constrain actions performable by the quest contact;
