1. A fuel cell system comprising:
a fuel cell stack including a cathode and an anode having an inlet,
a discharge resistor operable to discharge voltage from the fuel cell stack,
a sensor configured to measure pressure and temperature,
a hydrogen supply source that provides hydrogen to the inlet of the anode, and
a system controller operable to identify a presence of a leak of the hydrogen in the fuel cell system based on a measurement of a minimum anode negative pressure achieved in a predetermined time period.
