1. A method comprising:
detecting, by a processor, a variation between a first frequency corresponding to a first refresh rate and a second frequency corresponding to a second refresh rate of a display;
if the variation between the first frequency of the first refresh rate and the second frequency of the second refresh rate is greater than a first threshold, then determining a gray level of a portion of a content of the display;
if the gray level of the portion of the content is less than a second threshold, then initializing a first frame of the second refresh rate to a greater frequency between the first frequency and the second frequency; and
if the variation between the first frequency and the second frequency is not greater than the first threshold, then refraining from the initializing of the first frame.
