1. A control console for a remote camera head comprising:
a console body;
a handwheel coupled to the console body;
wherein if the handwheel undergoes an angular rotation, a rotation detector sends angular position informationsignals to a controller so that a motor brakes to resist a handwheel angular acceleration and to give the handwheel a simulated mass corresponding to heavier wheel feel.
