1. A system for monitoring stemmed plants, the system comprising:
one or more sound collectors configured to receive airborne sounds produced by and propagated from one or more stemmed plants to the sound collectors over the air and generate signals based on the sounds; and
a computer system configured to receive and process the signals to provide a profile of the one or more stemmed plants producing the sounds.
