1. An artificial turf, comprising:
a backing comprising a first side and a second side;
a plurality of generally upstanding synthetic grass blades, wherein the plurality of generally upstanding synthetic grass blades extend across the first side to form a plurality of pile overlays, extend through the backing, and terminate outside the backing proximate the second side; and
an air-injected coating that coats the first side of the backing and the plurality of pile overlays to bind together the backing and the plurality of generally upstanding synthetic grass blades;
wherein the air-injected coating permits a flow of liquids through the artificial turf; such that the flow of water through 86 square inches of the artificial turf exceeds 55 inches per hour.
