1. A Flettner-type rotary rigging comprising:
an outer skin of cylindrical shape centered on a vertical axis of rotation, comprising an outer aerodynamic surface comprised in a cylindrical envelope with a diameter D and a height L, in which D is greater than or equal to 3 meters and a L/D ratio is greater than 5;
a tower comprised inside the outer skin and comprising a connection with the outer skin;
wherein a tower structure is made of an assembly of structural members comprising wood fibers; and
wherein the structural members form an openwork framework with laminated wood panels covering openings of the openwork framework.
