1. A method of controlling energy recovery from a vehicle, wherein the vehicle comprises a generator for recovering energy during operation of the vehicle; the method comprising:
measuring an inclination of the vehicle;
preventing the generator from recovering energy if the inclination of the vehicle is greater than zero and a charge level of a rechargeable battery coupled to the generator is above a threshold; and
allowing the generator to recover energy regardless of the inclination when the charge level of the rechargeable battery is below the threshold.
