1. A homogeneous spreadable conditioning composition for use in a personal care formulation, the homogeneous spreadable conditioning composition consisting of:
(i) a branched hydrocarbon in a concentration of about 30% to about 80% by weight, the branched hydrocarbon having at least three methyl branches and a total of X carbon atoms where X is an integer of 13 to 19 carbon atoms; and
(ii) an ester in a concentration of about 20% to about 70% by weight selected from the group consisting of: glyceryl triheptanoate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof;
wherein the homogeneous spreadable conditioning composition has a kinematic viscosity of less than or equal to about 25 centistokes at 25° C.; and
wherein the homogeneous spreadable conditioning composition has an average spreading velocity at 25° C. that is greater than that of the ester alone.
