1. A method performed by a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, comprising:
acquiring cell access information from a second IAB node or a base station, wherein the first IAB node is capable of providing radio access to a user equipment (UE) and backhauling data to the second IAB node or the base station through air interface, and wherein the first IAB node comprises a distributed unit (DU) part and a mobile termination (MT) part;
sending assistance information to the second IAB node or the base station, wherein the assistance information comprises IAB node indication information;
sending at least one of: 1) a DU part identity of the first IAB node; or 2) a MT part identity, to an IAB donor;
in response to the cell access information indicating that a cell is allowed to be accessed by the first IAB node, determining the cell to be a candidate cell for cell selection; and
accessing the candidate cell via the MT part of the first IAB node.
