1. A base station equipment (BS), comprising:
a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network; and
processing circuitry configured to:
generate a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to at least include a configuration to indicate an allocation table to be used for determining time domain resource allocations (TDRAs) for a physical shared channel, the allocation table comprising a plurality of start symbols and a plurality of allocation lengths, wherein the plurality of start symbols and the plurality of allocation lengths, when combined, are a plurality of valid combinations of start symbols and allocation lengths for the physical shared channel,
transmit, using the transceiver, the RRC message to the UE,
generate downlink control information (DCI) to at least include a time domain resource assignment field to indicate a row index of the allocation table having a valid combination of a start symbol and an allocation length from among the plurality of valid combinations of start symbols and allocation lengths for the physical shared channel, and
transmit, using the transceiver, the DCI to the UE.
