1. A mobile device for managing building automation notifications of a building automation system, the mobile device comprising:
a user interface including a display;
a memory;
a processor configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to:
receive a notification of an event that is detected by the building automation system via a network, the notification including a description attribute that includes a description of the event;
display an indicator associated with the notification on the user interface of the mobile device, the indicator including:
a descriptor of the event that is based at least in part on the description of the event in the description attribute of the notification;
a snooze option that when selected via the user interface of the mobile device stops display of subsequent notifications on the user interface of the mobile device that are determined to be related to the event for a snooze period of time;
receive selection of the snooze option via the user interface of the mobile device; and
determine when the snooze period of time expires, and after the snooze period of time is determined to have expired, automatically re-start display of notifications on the user interface of the mobile device that are determined to be related to the event.
