1. A method performed at a wireless transmitting station, comprising:
generating, using a LDPC encoder at the wireless transmitting station, a first low density parity check (LPDC) codeword including information bits and parity check bits, by encoding a first source word for a first transmission;
responsive to receiving an indication of a failed codeword in the first transmission, generating, using the LDPC encoder at the wireless transmitting station, a second LDPC codeword by encoding a second source word for a retransmission for the first LDPC codeword, the second LDPC codeword including a permutated subset of the information bits included in the first LDPC codeword and parity check bits corresponding to the permutated subset of information bits;
generating, at the wireless transmitting station, a retransmission codeword for the first LDPC codeword, based on the second LDPC codeword; and
transmitting the retransmission codeword to a destination station.
