1. A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
performing a beam failure detection operation on a first cell;
detecting beam failure on the first cell;
measuring one or more candidate reference signals (RS) configured in the first cell;
transmitting a scheduling request on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) of an active uplink bandwidth part of a second cell based at least on detecting the beam failure on the first cell and on determining that a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission grant is not available for transmitting a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) (BFRQ MAC CE);
transmitting the BFRQ MAC CE in a PUSCH transmission, wherein the BFRQ MAC CE includes an indication of a serving cell index of the first cell and an indication of an index associated with one of the measured one or more candidate RS associated with a RS received power (RSRP) above a threshold; and
receiving a beam failure recovery response on an active downlink bandwidth part of the second cell after transmission of the BFRQ MAC CE in the PUSCH transmission, wherein the beam failure recovery response corresponds to a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission.
