A cathode material, comprising cathode material particles, wherein each of the cathode material particles comprises a central portion, an intermediate layer, and a surface layer, wherein the intermediate layer is located between the central portion and the surface layer and comprises lithium oxide, the central portion comprises lithium oxide, the intermediate layer comprises a pore structure filled with elemental sulfur and formed by packing the lithium oxide, and the surface layer comprises elemental sulfur and elemental carbon, wherein
the lithium oxide comprises δLiNimConX(1-m-n)O2·(1−δ)Li2MO3, and
0≤δ≤1, X is at least one selected from Mn, Al, Nb, and Fe, M is at least one selected from Mn, Al, Nb, Fe, Co, and Ni, 0≤m<1, and 0≤n<1.
